Cerro del Plomo 5424m
del Plomo is a popular and accessible peak in the central Andes of Chile, lying quite close to Santiago and easily reached via the ski resorts of Valle Nevado and La Parva above the city. It can be climbed in two to three days once acclimatised. On the summit in the 1950's a mummified body was found, now believed to be a sacrifice victim.
